What is my username?
Your username is your work email address. Users who don't have a work email mailbox do still have a unique address - so check with HR if you are unsure.
My computer has someone else's name on it. How do I log in to my account?
Select Other user in the bottom-left:
Enter your email address as the username.

What and where is the Start menu?
The Start menu is the central menu for Windows, from which you can launch applications, as well as log out.
The menu can be found either in the bottom-left of the screen (Windows 10), or occasionally in the center (some Windows 11 devices):
